Slovenia is an amazing little country in the Eastern part of Europe that we had the pleasure of exploring in the past couple of years. Cycling in Slovenia is a great alternative to cycling in the Alps since this is not (yet) such a busy destination. Tucked away between Italy, Austria and Croatia, it features a superb combination of high mountains, glacier lakes and rolling hills. The people are friendly, the local craft beer scene is buzzing and the food is perfect for the post ride recovery.
